I can only imagine how tough it would be to bring a child into such a stressful situation, especially one with health issues. It definitely helps to hear that I’m not alone. I’m very happy that you guys are doing so well and that you can focus more attention on your son. I know things will get better for us too once we are settled in our new place and I can get back my passion and enthusiasm for creating again.

Kristy, I know how you feel. When I got pregnant with my son in 2008 my husband lost his reliable job in the tech field as well. We had just bought a house two years prior and we had a steady income. I didn’t even know he had lost his job when I told him I was pregnant. The next 8 months we were frantically trying to keep our heads above water. We drained our 401k accounts, I worked as much as I could while pregnant. Finally, Chuck got a job in Des Moines, but I had to stay at the (staged) house to try to sell it. When I finally joined Chuck in Des Moines I was nine months pregnant.
We lost the house we bought in Waterloo, our credit was SHOT and everything was so scary and uncertain. To top it off, Wesley had health problems and he was a very sick baby.
But, it did get better. He has had a couple more jobs since we settled here, but since then he’s gotten a stable job that he’s had for a while that pays well, and we just bought a house!

It was one of the hardest things I ever had to go through. The sense of dread and sadness and failure that you feel, even if it’s circumstances beyond your control. It’s mentally AND physically exhausting. It can wreck your spirit. But, you’ll only be stronger for it.

What is the FIXED CUT OFF DATE for the ingredients used in TOO FACED products,that is the date whereby NO ANIMAL TESTING is carried out by TOO FACED or by their suppliers for example it could be from 1996 etc etc. Thanx 4 your time in reading this e-mail.

It is good to read that Too Faced do NOT test on animals,
they do seem quite adamant about that fact but I would like to know this:- What is their FIXED CUT OFF DATE for all their ingredients used in their products,that is the date whereby no ingredient in their products used has been tested on animals or that their suppliers adhere to same ruling. Thanx for reading this e-mail.

I also found that Almay is also on their list of they don’t test but on their website, they basically say the same as above…they don’t test on animals but they do abide by laws in different countries such as China where they do test on animals…I don not believe that the list of do test and don’t test are completely accurate. I find they are removing themselves from the equation because they are not doing the testing it is China doing the testing. I don’t see how it eliminates them if they allow it or sell to countries that continue to do animal testing. what are some thoughts on this?

This is deplorable and ridiculous. Stop animal testing NOW animals need tougher protection laws and a Bill Of Rights. I am ashamed of my fellow people who doesn’t seem to mature or evolve much except from a technological stand point.

I have just emailed to Amy Wagner at Revlon (i’ve just recently become vegan), and have asked for a clear and precise YES or NO answer to whether they test on animals or use any animal derivatives in their products, whether it be Shanghai, China, or any other country they are involved with.

Will keep you guys updated.
